Beacon Receivers & Pilot Generators

Peak Beacon receivers are designed specifically to track and measure CW beacons from commercial satellites and are used for telemetry and control, driving Antenna Control Units (ACU’s) and Automatic UpLink Power Controllers (AUPC’s).

Rack mounted receivers are used primarily in earth stations with medium/large antennae, whereas the outdoor mounted versions are aimed primarily at small/ medium sized antenna and Satcom On The Move (SOTM) applications, where small size and fast acquisition are of paramount importance.

Pilot generators are used in beacon tracking applications when a stable CW beacon is not available from the satellite, or for AUPC comparison mode applications where both a beacon and transmitted CW signal is required.
